Actions are a way to automate some of the repetitive work that your job pipeline may have.
For example, you probably do some (or all) of these things:
Send a thank you e-mail to a candidate when they apply
Send an e-mail to inquire availability when you're about to schedule an interview with a candidate
Schedule an interview with the same interviewers when a candidate reaches a specific stage
Ask the candidate for some more information if they pass the screening stage
Actions can help you automate all of these. You can add any number of actions to a stage. When a candidate reaches that stage, those actions will be triggered automatically. It can save you a lot of time and unnecessary effort.
Here's an example workflow with actions:
New Applications
Send a thank you e-mail to the candidate
Screening
Ask the candidate to fill in the Extra Information questionnaire
Phone Interview
Send an e-mail to inquire about the candidate's availability
Rejected
Send an e-mail to the candidate to let them know of their rejection
All of this can be completely automated with enlist.
How do I add an action?
You can add an action to a stage. To do so, follow these steps:
Go to the job to which you want to add the action.
On the top right, go to Job Setup. On Job Setup, go to Stages.
On the stage you want to add the action to, click Add an action.
You will get to choose from three options: Send an e-mail to an applicant, create an interview with the applicant, or send a questionnaire.
Choose the thing you want to do, fill in the details, and press Save Action.
You've added that action to the stage now. Any future application that reaches this stage will have that action triggered automatically.
How do I remove an action?
Go to the job you want to remove the action from.
On the top right, go to Job Setup. On Job Setup, go to Stages.
On the stage you want to remove the action from, click Edit.
You'll now be in the stage's editing mode. Every action will have a button with Delete besides it. To remove an action, just press that button.
If an application moves through a stage twice, are actions run twice?
No. Actions are triggered only when an application goes to a stage for the first time.
